Gran gara di Magnussen ma ancora di più quella di Ekstrom che senza un errore dovuto all'inesperienza avrebbe concluso tranquillamente nella top 5, dove ha viaggiato per gran parte della gara.

Fenomeno assoluto Marcos Ambrose che ha regalato la vittoria a Jimmie Johnson fermandosi spontaneamente durante l'ultima bandiera gialla per risparmiare benzina. Pensava potesse riprendere la posizione di leader senza problemi.... Premio Almirola triplo per lui....
